Although project management was introduced in the 1950s, it has been used since then. It has been used in the creation of some of the most important projects in history, including the Great Pyramids and the Transcontinental Railroad. As technology advanced and the market demanded more, entrepreneurs and business owners found it difficult to keep up with their own demands. They needed a structured method that would allow them to bridge gaps and create a consistent work flow. Its ultimate goal was ensuring that all tasks are completed in a predetermined order.
Gantt chart is the most important technique for traditional project management. Henry Gantt was the original creator of Gantt chart. This is why it’s often referred to as the father of traditional project managing. It is one of most useful ways to present the tasks and activities of a project on a timeline. Gantt charts became easier to create with Excel as technology improved. The left half shows the project activities, while the top shows the time scale. Each activity is represented with a bar. Each activity is presented with a bar.
Who is responsible for each task?
How long each task takes
How tasks can be linked and overlap
The project’s start and end dates
Gantt Chart is a great tool for project management and tracking project schedules. Gantt chart helps us to understand the relationships between tasks better, keep all team members on the same page, and complete projects successfully. You will need to update your Gantt chart as things change. The bar’s size does not necessarily reflect the amount of work required to succeed.
